Many fishermen are returning from long stints in Alaska, or maybe yours is coming back from another fishery around the world. Or, maybe it’s the off-season, and you’re feeling kind of stagnant or in a relationship rut.

I totally get it! It is easy to get stuck in a routine. Suddenly, watching Netflix on the couch in your sweatpants is less exciting than it was when you first met. You are craving something new but aren’t sure what.

I just discovered the concept of Alphabet Dating from a certified counselor and relationship specialist, Autumn Fowler. She recently shared a list of alphabetical dating ideas that are great jumping-off points for brainstorming your own unique date ideas with your fisherman! I’ve listed many of them below.

> How to use the Alphabet Dating Guide: Decide if you will plan each date together or if you will alternate who plans the date and take turns being surprised! Each week or month, choose a date day/night, and work your way through the alphabet.

(For example, on the third week, you will be on letter C, and you may choose to take a cooking class and then go for mocktails/cocktails afterward.)
