Hey, POCFs! Here’s a recording of the LIVE Zoom I did during the Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle, WA, on 11/9/2023. It’s a quick recap of the expo and a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to host the Partners of Commercial Fishermen Parlor for a Dockside Chat presented by National Fisherman Magazine. I discuss the growth and acceptance of our community over the years and express my wish to improve support for POCFs. We also have a guest appearance with Trish Whitstone of the BC Young Fishermen’s Network and Sena Wheeler, 5th Generation Fisherman’s Wife and co-owner of Sena Sea Seafood Company! I hope to see you at our next private Zoom meeting on Sunday, December 3rd!

I think they are a great idea,these meetings, but sometimes they are hard to coordinate with my fisherman being home,or boat work,etc., that’s my only issue with actually participating in it.

Hey, April! Thanks so much for your reply. I definitely understand how schedules can be with commercial fishing households! For that, I have scrapped the 2024 Live Zooms so we don’t feel like we’re missing out. Instead, our private chat on Telegram has become the new connecting point, and it’s great to be able to hop on and text with other POCFs in the text chain at any time that is convenient. If it sounds fun, let me know, and I’ll send you a link! This offer is available until July 1st, 2024. After that, the chat will be a paid membership.
