Gift Guide for Commercial Fishermen

Ahh, it’s that time of year again when we scramble to figure out what the heck to gift our fishermen. Members of our Private FB Group recommended the items in last year’s gift guides, and they hooked us up with new ideas for this year, too! As always, these are commercial fishermen tested and partner of commercial fisherman approved! If you’ve missed previous holiday guides, you find them here & here.

Members of our FB group also mentioned a few unconventional ideas, which are perfect if you are spending time apart for the holidays (which happens more than we’d like). Sending homemade cakes and cookies is always welcome. Or, instead of buying traditional presents, how about a dream vacation with your sweetie?! Not only are you gifting an experience they’ll never forget, but you’ll have plenty of time to plan your trip. (Because half the fun of going on vacation is the excitement leading up to it, don’t you think?)

We’d love to know what you’re getting your fisherman or what they’ve loved in the past. Please share in the comments below so your winning ideas can inspire other POCFs. Teamwork makes the dream work. 😄

Toadfish Non-Tipping Can Cooler
Y'all, this can cooler turns into a drinking cup, too! But the big seller is that it's "un-tip-able," which means beverages will survive bumpy boat rides home without spilling a drop.

Salomon Men's Trail Track and Field Shoe
Another recommendation from our private FB group, these shoes are (apparently) super comfy and will give them a break from wearing heavy Xtratuf or other boots.

Chris loves wearing sweats under foul weather gear in the winter, and these happen to be water resistant, too! I like the fit. More modern than traditional sweats.

Grundens Captain's Hat
This was Chris' favorite hat that sadly blew off his head while driving between traps. The rope detail and tall ship makes this hat perfect for Captains or deckhands! I kinda want one, too. :)

Recommended by a commercial fisherman, this Polartec fleece hoodie is windproof and made in the USA! Would go great with the sweats above. Or anything, really.
