Part 3: How to Stay Sober w/ POCF Monique Coombs of the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association

What are the odds that two young girls who became friends at a middle school in Heidelberg, Germany, would lose touch, then reunite almost 30 years via Instagram by discovering that we both married lobstermen? Wild, right? This photo was taken on June 2, 2023, when Chris and I road-tripped through Maine. This was the first time seeing Monique in person since we were kids!

To add to the magic, the chance that Monique Coombs is a powerhouse at the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association while married and mom of two kids (also lobstermen) is even more incredible.

Now, I’m excited for you to join us as we talk about our mutual sobriety too.

In this episode, Monique shares her journey to sobriety, her initiative “How to Stay Sober,” and the conscious choices she made that positively impacted her life. We also discuss the support available for those seeking to become sober or the sober curious. Resources from the episode:
