How Salmon is Processed: Inside a Seafood Plant!

How Salmon is Processed In a Seafood Plant

I’ve always wondered what a salmon processing plant looks like. I mean, we talk about the fishermen catching the fish, but we haven’t discussed how the fish are prepped to eat. Thankfully, our girl Bri Dwyer is on it. Bri has been my eyes for what goes on up in Alaska. It wasn’t until several years ago that Chris sent me a picture Bri took of him on the boat and I finally understood what commercial fishing meant. And here, she brings it home again.

I don’t know why I was surprised by how clean it is. I mean, we hope it will be but you never know, you know? For legalities, we’re keeping the identity of the processing plant anonymous, but this will give you a good idea of what to expect if you’re going to work for a processor or for learning how your delicious salmon dinner made it to your plate.
